Frank Sabatino, PhD, DC
Dr. Frank Sabatino has an extensive background in Natural Hygiene and Lifestyle medicine. He has been a plant-exclusive Chiropractic physician for almost 50 years who directed the Regency, Ocean Jade, and Balance for Life Retreats, where he lectured, cared for, and inspired thousands. As Director of the Healthful Living Ocean Retreat, he is excited to carry on his tradition of lifestyle education, care, and transformation.
Dr. Sabatino also has a Ph.D. in cell biology and neuroendocrinology from Emory University School of Medicine. As an assistant professor at the University of Texas School of Medicine, he did extensive landmark research on calorie restriction, stress, and aging, and published major scientific papers in well-respected peer-reviewed journals in cell biology, endocrinology, and neuroscience. He has also published numerous articles for the general public on nutrition, weight loss, women’s hormones, epigenetics, stress management, addiction, and healthy aging.
Dr. Sabatino is a past Fellow of the prestigious Brookdale fellowship in Gerontology and Aging, and as a member of the International Association of Hygienic Physicians, is widely recognized as an expert in water-only fasting. He is currently the Director of Health Education for The National Health Association, a research consultant for the True North Foundation, Science and Research Director of The Complementary Medical Association (CMA) in England, and a medical advisory board member of the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutritional Studies.
Dr. Sabatino is a board-certified addiction care specialist from the American College of Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders, and his book, WEIGHTLESS: Compassionate Weight Loss for Life, and online course, Lean for Life: Create your ideal weight now and forever, (highly endorsed and available by the CMA) promote the most comprehensive plant-exclusive solution and lifestyle strategies for solving the pandemic of obesity. He is also a long-time teacher and student of Tai-chi and Qi gong.
