Membership Details
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
Incorporated as a nonprofit organization, IAHP's general membership is limited to:
Education from any bona fide, accredited Medical, Osteopathic, Chiropractic, or Naturopathic school is acceptable for eligibility. Graduate students currently enrolled in one of these accredited institutions are eligible for the duration of their studies.
Individuals whose education consists solely of correspondence or non-accredited programs are not eligible for membership. This includes graduates of the Life Science Institute (also known as the Fit for Life course), the Clayton School of Natural Healing, and its affiliate, the American Holistic College of Nutrition.
CERTIFIED MEMBERSHIP
To become a Certified Member of the Association, a member in good standing must successfully complete a minimum six-month Internship/Residency, or its equivalent, at a fasting institution approved by the Association for training purposes.
At present, certification training is available exclusively under the direction of Alan Goldhamer, D.C., at True North Health Center.

- physicians in the fields of Medicine, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, and Naturopathy who have graduated from accredited professional institutions.
- legally licensed to practice in their state or country.
- Members must demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to the core principles of Natural Hygiene, as supported by the biological sciences, and agree to uphold the Association’s Principles of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
